A Makati Shangri-La Stay (day 1), Cymplified!

August 8, 2011 by ceemee

My friend is pregnant with her first child and I with my third. We thought of having a sort of joint photoshoot and stayed at Makati Shangri-La hotel to put some vouchers to good use. Caleb and I were warmly welcomed with smiles, the front desk ladies were enamored with his cuteness. The one assisting me even carried him while I sign some documents. I was disappointed with the Superior Rooms we were assigned with. They were so small and we didn't know if the shoot could be done there. We … [Read more...]

Date At Home, Cymplified!

date at home

And so, the baby has arrived. Dad and mom need a day or night off to recharge. But, the little one won't sleep! Or his sleep pattern is so erratic it's unpredictable, therefore, they cannot leave the tot to a nanny or grandparent since sometimes only the parents or the mom in particular can put him to sleep. It might be counterintuitive to have a family sleepover at a hotel since it's not home and the baby most likely will be sensitive to the new surroundings; but wouldn't it be great to have … [Read more...]

Appreciation in Marriage, Cymplified!

May 21, 2011 by ceemee

appreciation of each other

It is very easy to nitpick and point out the faults of a person. It is without effort that people see the negative traits that stand out among the many wonderful attributes a person possesses. This is especially true for people who live under one roof. Being with your spouse each and every single day makes his/her shortcomings more glaring. It also makes you see why you fell in love with that person and more. We need to train our eyes and heart on the positive aspects of someone, … [Read more...]

Infanthreecipating, Cymplified!

March 19, 2011 by ceemee

"Another one?", she asked me with a little impish smile. "No!", I answered with finality, "Two is enough." It appears I ate my words. Until I had a TVS or transvaginal ultrasound, I am in a state of denial even if I tested positive in a pregnancy test kit. 'It's too soon!', I heard my thoughts say, 'Why, Lord?' Ricky and I weren't planning on having another child. Well, we weren't actually planning since he didn't want me to use contraceptive pills for some reason. And since he is my only … [Read more...]

Babies and Love, Cymplified!

January 29, 2011 by ceemee

Babies are born to love and be loved. How do they show their love? I have experienced my babies lavishing their attention on me. It seems like they are observing me, even to the point of making me feel a bit conscious. They love to get close to me. They want to be carried at times. My baby boy would roll over on the bed towards me and rest his head on me or roll towards me, squeezing himself against my side until I don't have space on the bed anymore. When they smile at me, I feel so loved … [Read more...]

Happiness, Cymplified!

January 24, 2011 by ceemee

I would like to presume that everyday is a happy day. Last January 16 was a happier day than others, though. My family and I started it with attending church. Isn't reconnecting and rekindling our relationship with God a great beginning to any day? In the evening, we had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. I am thankful to the Lord that we could afford a fine place such as that. This was what I had for dessert. I was intrigued by the crepe. As it turns out, it was chewy, like … [Read more...]
