Today, I am featuring my friend, Beth on The Master and Her Piece. It’s an interview I do with women who inspire me and others to live and create better. I ask questions about their masterpieces or their works, their inspiration and ideas, their motivation, their challenges and their advice; to hopefully encourage my readers, too. Elizabeth Limchu is one of the most stylish women I know. That's why it seems only natural that she runs a garments business. Did you know that she made my … [Read more...]
Exploring Tagaytay With Children, Cymplified!
On Family Getaways When going on family getaways, my husband and I make sure they're fun and somewhat educational for the kids. It's one of the ways that we can bond with each other and with the little ones. Another perk is that we get to see, experience and learn about a different city or province. It's wonderful! Being four years old and above, they could still remember their adventures and talk about them for months. Hence, looking at photos could trigger memories. We have … [Read more...]
When Doubt Whispers, Cymplified!
When doubt whispers, what will you do? There are times when I find myself in a sinkhole. It's scary. It's dangerous. It's called doubt. Do you know what's beneath it? Depression. People tend to dismiss doubts as they are tiny, like seeds. They don't easily catch our attention as they move stealthily, creeping into consciousness. Like thieves, unexpectedly they steal our joy and peace. But if these seeds are watered with feelings of failure and regrets, they will grow … [Read more...]
When Mountains Move by Julie Cantrell, Cymplified!
When Mountains Move by Julie Cantrell started with a milestone: marriage. It should be an exciting and happy beginning for Millie and Bump. Right? Yet with a horrific past and secrets, I began to share Millie's burden. Thus, I do not quite find the book entertaining or spiritually inspiring. It also started to become a slow read. There were times I wished that I'd reach the end of the story already. The author wrote down every little action in every conversation. Details are good, however, … [Read more...]

Try not to drool in this installment of The Master and Her Piece as I feature Kim of Wynne's Cakes! It’s an interview I do with women who inspire me and others to live and create better. I ask questions about their masterpieces or their works, their inspiration and ideas, their motivation, their challenges and their advice; to hopefully encourage my readers, too. I first encountered one of her creations at my daughter's 8th birthday party at Kidzville, The Podium. It's now called Kidz … [Read more...]

Family Getaway: Why I Like Traveling with Children 4 to 9 Years Old, Cymplified!
My family and I recently came from a trip to Tagaytay. It was a last-minute getaway. I just packed the morning before leaving! Thankfully, we still got a room at Taal Vista Hotel. Even so, family getaways always excite me. When they were still babies, though, excursions like this need a list first of all. Impromptu ones? A no-no! I would have preferred to stay home than lug the whole nursery to the beach. Think of all the onesies, diapers, burp cloths, towels, bottles, bottle sterilizer, … [Read more...]
