Appreciating the Uncomfortable, Cymplified!

March 7, 2018 by ceemee

appreciating the uncomfortable

We are not put in the world to be comfortable ALL.THE.TIME. How do we go about appreciating the uncomfortable? But, who wants to be uncomfortable, right? I know I don't! Most people, if not all, want to live a comfortable life. Parents, most of all, desire for their children to live comfortably. It would break their hearts to see their offsprings in an uncomfortable, if not, hurtful situation. There are many things that could make us squirm or cringe. Change could be uncomfortable. So … [Read more...]

Hope For Picky Eaters, Cymplified!

October 15, 2017 by ceemee

hope for picky eaters

Almost all moms become frustrated when it happens. They were doing everything according to the doctors', their friends', other moms', online articles' recommendations on feeding their children. Naturally, it comes as a surprise when some kids will suddenly reject food that they were gobbling up just days before. It's even more of a surprise when I say that there's hope for picky eaters. I have picky eaters. When my babies reached six months, I made baby food for them. I pureed pumpkin, … [Read more...]

July Birthdays, Cymplified!

August 26, 2017 by ceemee

July birthdays this year are sentimental for me. The idea of celebrations excite me, yet knowing that two of my children will be older, tugs at my heart. Ten The eve of my eldest's birthday, I strung and stuck these words on the wall to surprise her when she wakes up. I made them with an electronic cutting machine! Here's the dainty girly cake we bought from Red Ribbon Bakeshop. It's our go-to cake shop. Then we celebrated during the weekend at KidzCity. We bought vouchers online from … [Read more...]

Nickerbacher Chapter Book by Terry John Barto, Cymplified!

March 21, 2017 by ceemee

book review nickerbacher chapter book

I first read the story of Nickerbacher, the funniest dragon as a picture book. It was a pleasant surprise to learn about the new Nickerbacher chapter book. At first, I thought it's a continuation of the picture book. Consequently, I realized that it's kind of an expanded version. There were still pictures; but the story was more in-depth. If you happen to be a dragon and you happen to want to be a comedian, then this book is for you! Seriously, this is a nice read for children who can handle … [Read more...]

Family Day Out: Quezon Memorial Circle, Cymplified!

February 6, 2017 by ceemee

The Big Cheese! Pizza

Quezon Memorial Circle Several families had the same idea as ours. That is to bring the kids to Quezon Memorial Circle on Sunday. The last time I went there, my hubby and I bought plants for his hydroponic garden. The first time I went there was on a date with him as a boyfriend. We bought a pack of chicharon that had human-like hairs.  8-O It's surprising to learn of the many activities families could enjoy inside. This link take you to a closer look at the place. Who knew that this … [Read more...]

Playing Dress-Up Last October, Cymplified!

December 26, 2016 by ceemee

I think that playing dress-up is innate in every child; most of them wouldn't hesitate to don wings or capes. Is it their idea of fun or they just want to escape reality for a while? I read somewhere that children have things figured out. I would add that they could get away with it, too! That's how my kids are. I remember my boy wearing my Ugg boots, an upside-down Jollibee bucket as his helmet and a sword in his hand. Here is my youngest, dressing up as a princess, then a … [Read more...]

November 24, 2016 by ceemee

elizabeth limchu flamingo apron dress creation

Today, I am featuring my friend, Beth on The Master and Her Piece.  It’s an interview I do with women who inspire me and others to live and create better. I ask questions about their masterpieces or their works, their inspiration and ideas, their motivation, their challenges and their advice; to hopefully encourage my readers, too. Elizabeth Limchu is one of the most stylish women I know. That's why it seems only natural that she runs a garments business. Did you know that she made my … [Read more...]
