I loved Tangled the first time I saw it! The cast was adorable, especially Maximus. I think that as more Disney princess movies were made, the princesses have more personality. The music for the part where Rapunzel and the townsfolk were dancing reminds me so much of an instrumental track in The Corrs' album. This led me to conclude that they might be Irish. Then again, I might be wrong. If you love Disney's Tangled, there's a cute blog about it, welovetangled.tumblr.com. The problem … [Read more...]
Embrace The Season, Cymplified!
Doubting... ...is how I find myself some days. And who wouldn't, when the children get sick? When my pre-schooler gets mad at me, and I am at a loss how to respond. When my one-year-old doesn't speak yet and I wonder why. When my baby cries and somehow I cannot seem to soothe her. Questions cloud my mind. Am I doing something wrong? Am I really cut out for motherhood? I would wonder why God gave me three children when I seem to be a terrible mom. One thing leads to another and … [Read more...]

Chinese New Year {2012}, Cymplified!
Lunar or Chinese New Year was being celebrated in the Philippines for the longest time. It was just this year that it was declared a non-working holiday by Pnoy. It used to be only the Chinese school students and employees of some Chinese businesses who enjoyed a day without classes or work, respectively. I seem to recollect that New Year's day usually falls on a day in February. It's becoming earlier and earlier each year, like the Holy Week. I use Instagram These elements are always … [Read more...]
Thanksgiving {2011}, Cymplified!
Another occasion significant and popular in the United States that we don't celebrate here in the Philippines is Thanksgiving. An image of a turkey comes to my mind when I hear the word. Being thankful should be on a daily basis. It is after all part of a Christian's everyday prayer. If I remember correctly, my prayer must follow this acronym as a format: A - doration C - onfession T - hanksgiving S - upplication The people and things that I need, the things that I sometimes … [Read more...]
Mommy Treats, Cymplified!
I'm glad I got to experience Mommy Treats. Thank you, Ms. Paola for sponsoring a game in the baby shower at Medela House. I got to sample a week's supply of bite-sized cookies and muffins. I have to say they were yummy! I wasn't turned off by the supposed to be bitter aftertaste, which I found the strongest in the chocolate muffins. My favorite was the banana walnut flavor. When I felt a dip in my milk supply two weeks prior to this day, I ordered another week's supply of lactation treats. Of … [Read more...]
Halloween {2011}, Cymplified!
I cannot remember when commercialized Halloween and Trick-or-Treating started here in the Philippines. Thanks to @momblogger for the enlightening post. I have never donned a costume and went house-hopping asking for candies, I had only seen it done in movies. Why do people celebrate it anyway? If it's supposed to be about the dead and scary stuff, why do people say "happy" Halloween? Having been in a Christian school, it was never encouraged. I think it also depended on my parents and the … [Read more...]
