Ditumabo Falls We were told to finish our breakfast by 8 o' clock, even though we weren't planning on going on the trek itself. I was thinking that maybe I could just catch a glimpse of the falls... They were going on a trek to Ditumabo Falls dubbed as Mother Falls in Aurora. They were going to cross the streams with large, slippery rocks and maybe even wade through water. We climbed aboard the vans, around four for our large group, and cruised through coconut trees and rice fields. When we … [Read more...]

Wynne Hardy never thought she'd get engaged on a reality TV show, but when she met Andy on The Rejection Connection, the two of them hit it off. Kids’ Handiwork: Cardboard Castle
Last two Sundays ago, my eldest told me, out of the blue, that she wanted to make a castle, using cardboard. I admit I'm not a very crafty person. In fact, I'm all thumbs when it comes to cutting, pasting or sewing! But, of course I don't want to say 'no.' So I "enlisted" the help of YouTube and wikiHow to aid us in making a haven of sorts for her My Little Pony figures and others. Here's one of the kids' handiwork: a cardboard castle. I will post the links to the tutorials for simple … [Read more...]
Daily Positive Things, Cymplified!
There are Facebook memes going around again. I was tagged by my friend in one of them. The challenge was to post three positive things every day for seven days. Family Getaway: Aurora Adventure {part 1}, Cymplified!
This was my last hurrah for the summer of 2014. I went to Baler in Aurora with my hubby and the kids, together with hubby's side of the family tree. A bus was rented and we were on our way on a 5-hour trip to the eastern part of Central Luzon. Before arriving at the place where we'll be staying, we stopped by a park where one of the biggest Balete trees of the country was located. It's called Balete Park. The kids got to see a 600-year-old tree! There were people climbing the tree when we … [Read more...]
Focus On Love, Cymplified!
She rolled to her right and opened her eyes. She sighed as she stared at the not really cream, not quite yellow wall. Bare concrete was exposed where a large piece of paint used to be. Cellophane tape held a couple of little paint chips that almost fell off. Smudges of discoloration drew maps on the upper part of the wall and lines on the lower part. Evidence of rainwater that once seeped from the ceiling down the wall was not fully wiped off. A lone hole made by a nail gazed back at her. The … [Read more...]
Gentleness, Cymplified!
My wish is that my children will live out kindness. As a follower of Jesus, I need to be a good role model of kindness for them. We must be kind to other people and to our environment, all of which are God's creations. With kindness comes gentleness. Being gentle to people and their feelings, being gentle to plants and animals show our kindness. We can learn how to be gentle from God's example. God leads in His gentleness. These are the ways that God directs me: Through His Word Psalm … [Read more...]
