One of the ways to really know God's Word is by studying it. I really admire the people who know the Bible verses by heart. People absorb knowledge in different ways. Some by looking at photos, some by watching tutorial videos, some by reading words. If you learn by music or by singing it out loud, then this song could help you commit to memory the books of the Bible. What an interesting way of memorizing! Until now, I have not done so, even though I came from a Christian high school. … [Read more...]
"Promises are made to be broken." It seems this holds true these days, even among friends and family. And it is sad that words aren't honored anymore. And there's nothing we can do but to forgive them for breaking their promises. It is just disheartening to count on them anymore. I feel such a huge guilt because I promised my daughter we would take her to the beach come vacation. School is about to start and we haven't gone out of town yet. It's too bad that we cannot afford to, yet. But I … [Read more...]

This is especially true for people who live under one roof. Being with your spouse each and every single day makes his/her shortcomings more glaring. It also makes you see why you fell in love with that person and more. We need to train our eyes and heart on the positive aspects of someone, … [Read more...]
Cinderella was my favorite fairytale when I was a little girl. And then when Belle came along, Disney's Beauty and the Beast became my new fave, until now. In the beginning, Cinderella sang that "a dream is a wish your heart makes, when you're fast asleep..." I thought that this made her an advocate of pursuing dreams and wishes. … [Read more...]

“But, how?”, Cymplified!
One of the most annoying things my 3-year-old daughter asks me when I tell her to do something she wants to wriggle out of is, "But, how?" I realize that that is a question I often ask God. I want to know and follow God's will, and when He shows me at times, I ask, "But, how?" I wonder if He gets annoyed with me, too. God seemed to be speaking to me this past Holy Week. "How could you know My will when you don't read My Word regularly?" It makes sense and the answers I know I can find in … [Read more...]
