Since it's still February, I'd like to talk more about love. Specifically, a mother's heart that is filled with love. My good friend gave me this book, Celebrate Mom, eons ago and it is only now that I started to read it. Remember how I sometimes feel about being a mom? I think this book is a lovely encouragement to me. The motherly love God has placed in my heart is comparable to His unconditional love. This is my affirmation that my calling is a special one. According to the book, a … [Read more...]
Embrace The Season, Cymplified!
Doubting... ...is how I find myself some days. And who wouldn't, when the children get sick? When my pre-schooler gets mad at me, and I am at a loss how to respond. When my one-year-old doesn't speak yet and I wonder why. When my baby cries and somehow I cannot seem to soothe her. Questions cloud my mind. Am I doing something wrong? Am I really cut out for motherhood? I would wonder why God gave me three children when I seem to be a terrible mom. One thing leads to another and … [Read more...]
Love Is, Cymplified!
The popular Bible passage on love: I Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV) 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be … [Read more...]

Chinese New Year {2012}, Cymplified!
Lunar or Chinese New Year was being celebrated in the Philippines for the longest time. It was just this year that it was declared a non-working holiday by Pnoy. It used to be only the Chinese school students and employees of some Chinese businesses who enjoyed a day without classes or work, respectively. I seem to recollect that New Year's day usually falls on a day in February. It's becoming earlier and earlier each year, like the Holy Week. I use Instagram These elements are always … [Read more...]
Gymini Kick & Play, Cymplified!
This gift Cayla received last Christmas seems to promise less time carrying her. Tiny Love's Gymini Kick & Play proves to be an environment of visual and tactile stimulation for my baby to keep her occupied when awake. The only instrumental music played here is by Mozart. The device with the switch says so. Each move produces sounds because of the hanging rattle and chime, the pop-up objects on the mat with noisy plastic inserts and the pad that lights up while playing animal sounds … [Read more...]
Bataan, Cymplified!
After Christmas day, I got sick that I felt disconnected from the online world. My head and throat hurt like crazy, I couldn't eat very well. I had fever and was weak. I think my milk supply dipped along with my health. I felt miserable! Still, last December 30, I went with my hubby and the kids to Bataan as I've never been there before. But I could have enjoyed the trip more if I was in a good shape. The time it took for us to arrive at our friend's place seemed to take too long, but it … [Read more...]
