What traits of God assure you the most? What promises of His attributes do you hold on to the tightest? Do you find comfort in
God’s character?
According to Joyce Meyer,
1. Justice: God is a God of justice. That word justice is so awesome because it means that He will always make anything that’s wrong right. This helps me to not worry when I am mistreated because I know God will bring justice. It’s who He is.
2. Goodness: God is good, this fact never changes. And He’s good all the time, not just once in a while or when things go your way. Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him” (NIV). When things are bad, I find great encouragement in God’s goodness.
3. Holiness: God is holy and righteous, and He desires to make us holy, pure and clean, free from the defilements of sin. To be honest, it has helped me in my walk with God to realize that whatever He does is right, whether I like it or not. This helps me to stay in sync with Him.
Whenever I feel out of sorts, I anchor myself to the fact that God will never change, He will never lose His love for me, He will never leave me, He will never forsake me. I love that He is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. Read more of these three traits of God normally associated with Him here.
I cannot say that I know God very, very well; I’m still in the process of delving deep into His Word to know more about Him and claiming the promises inside. The Bible is where God’s character can be seen and experienced with the most clarity.

This is beautiful! I cling to His word when I am troubled. And as I expose myself to His word, I am more encouraged that whatever difficulties i am facing will soon come to pass. I just have to trust Him completely.

I also like listening to Joyce Meyer preach. She’s humorous but at the same she makes a lot of sense. The traits of God as just and good are difficult for some to reconcile. But I like both as you have said… makes me tremble but at the same thankful as I walk in faith.

i just had a not so good medical lab test result today. nothing grave but enough to cause fear or worry. however, instead of wallowing in the negative, i lift it up to HIM. i rest in the belief that in HIM i am whole.
