Empowered Princesses, Cymplified!

March 9, 2013 by ceemee

This video brought tears to my eyes. I don’t know why!

Post by Everyone Matters.

It may be because I love Disney princesses, that’s why Elle likes them, too.

I don’t think princesses are girls who are spoiled and bossy. I think they are girls with substance; especially love, kindness and gentleness.

There’s a reason or two they are loved by their people, and I don’t think it’s because of their pretty faces.

For me, girls with good hearts and good manners are considered princesses.

But, this video from Disney really puts the definition of a princess on a more awesome level. They are empowered princesses.

They are brave even when they’re scared. They are kind even when others are not generous. They think that “standing up for yourself is important and standing up for others is more important, but standing with others is the most important.”

Do you have a princess in your life? Maybe empowered princesses? What do you think of this video?

Being a princess no longer means just entitlement. It’s not just about marrying a handsome prince. It’s a lot about being worthy to lead people. Yes, thank you Disney for showing this better side of princesses 🙂

Demure and bossy princesses are old fairy tales for me. Nowadays, princesses are being portrayed as strong ladies with utmost bravery and intelligence to stand up on their own (i watch to much princess centered film, it’s my daughter’s influence haha).

Oh, i LOVE the video! I so agree in every count. Gone are the damsel-in-distress drama. It’s now the era of empowered, compassionate women (princesses). Thanks for sharing! Will share this, too.
