The month of June seemed to breeze by in the blink of an eye, don't you think? Before it ends, I would just like to post one more thing about fathers. Or two. Faithful, always there, truthful & trustworthy, honorable, ever-loving, righteous and supportive are what describe fathers best. Dad opened the jar of pickles when no one else could. He was the only one in the house who wasn't afraid to go into the basement by himself. He cut himself shaving, but no one kissed it or got excited … [Read more...]
Contentment and Ambitions, Cymplified!
In between counting my blessings and drafting goals for my family, I came across these questions that I hopefully could find the answers to, if it is God's will. Contented \kən-ˈten-təd\ adjective : feeling or showing satisfaction with one's possessions, status, or situation If a person's basic needs, which are a roof over his head, clean clothes on his back and food for every day, are supplied, should he be content? 1 Timothy 6:5-7 (NIV) 5 and constant friction between people of … [Read more...]

We need good fathers in our homes Whose hearts are full of grace. Who by their love and earnest prayers, Make home a pleasant place. Walter E. Isenhour American Poet Even though he already introduced the chichirya and the chicharon to the children quite early, I still think Rix is a very wonderful father. I am so blessed to have him. Gender Guessing, Cymplified!
When you're pregnant and in the Philippines, acquaintances or sometimes even complete strangers will try to guess (even when not being asked) if you're having a boy or a girl. Does that happen in other countries? There are baby gender guessing "methods" that these people rely upon to come up with their speculations. The shape of the baby bump. How are you feeling today? | Overwhelmed, Cymplified!
May is turning out to be not so merry for me. You know how helpers and nannies are "necessities" here in our country since I have very small children. Each one has her own drama and I was left with none. I feel stressed just thinking about the situation. I also am not looking forward to training the newcomers all over again. I think I feel overwhelmed by: Excessive responsibilities Luke 10:40 (NIV) 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him … [Read more...]
ABC’s of Improving Our Relationship With Our Children, Cymplified!
I value my relationship with my small children very much. It is the foundation of our closeness in the coming years. This is especially important in keeping them happy and safe, since they would confide in me whatever they are going through. Hopefully! Attention: is what my children crave, coupled with great affection. Believe: in what my 4-year-old says in answer to my questions. Give her the benefit of the doubt. And when she admits to her mistakes, see letter C. Cool: keep it, especially … [Read more...]
A Mother’s Heart {Strong and Courageous}, Cymplified!
Strong and courageous, that's how moms need to be for her children. "Motherhood can be painful." I agree with Dainty Mom Martine a hundred percent on that. She related her experience here, which I can identify with since my eldest had febrile seizure too. It just breaks my heart when my children get sick or get hurt. After all, parts of a mother's heart, soul and spirit reside in each of her children. But, mothers draw on strength that she never knew she had. She has courage she thought was … [Read more...]
