book-reviews-runaway-clothes

This is one of the books written by Mrs. D, which I got to review as part of the book blast that I have joined. Here again is the summary of Runaway Clothes: An enlightening story about a little girl named Nika who didn't want to take care of her clothes and toys. One hazy morning when Nika opened her closet, she discovered that it was empty. Her clothes had disappeared! What had happened to her shirts and pants? Where did her favorite dresses, coats, and socks go? Why did they leave her … [Read more...]

Nail Spa Lounge in the South, Cymplified!

December 15, 2014 by ceemee

nail spa lounge facade

It's always such a treat for us moms to receive pampering on our hardworking hands and feet. I was the recipient of such a treat from Nail Spa Lounge by Ellabell. The branch I went to was the newly opened one located on the 2nd floor Alfresco area Robinsons Las Piñas. I went along with my husband Ricky to photograph the nail salon's facade. The outside kind of looks like a café, don't you think?   The ambience of this nail salon was very welcoming. I think it's because of the … [Read more...]

Starting Christmas Traditions, Cymplified!

December 1, 2014 by ceemee

Christmas tree

For this post, I teamed up with Patience Brewster to share my little list of holiday traditions. Patience Brewster is an artist and designer of holiday greeting cards and ornaments. Her Christmas ornaments are tastefully made and very inspiring. Christmas is all about family, and friends who are like family, next to Jesus Christ. Although it is fun to receive gifts, and we have an excuse to gorge on delicious food this season, I find it more meaningful to start our own Christmas traditions as a … [Read more...]

Kindergarten, Cymplified!

November 17, 2014 by ceemee

Last school year, Ella graduated from Kindergarten. It signaled the end of her preschool years. We might think that Kindergarten is all fun and games, just playing and singing. But, surprisingly, it's not. Believe it or not, Kindergarten gave my eldest a little taste of the real world. And it's not just more assigned tasks to work on. Ella likes to draw, My Little Pony characters specifically. Naturally, she does that in school during breaks or dismissal. One of her … [Read more...]

Ditumabo Falls We were told to finish our breakfast by 8 o' clock, even though we weren't planning on going on the trek itself. I was thinking that maybe I could just catch a glimpse of the falls... They were going on a trek to Ditumabo Falls dubbed as Mother Falls in Aurora. They were going to cross the streams with large, slippery rocks and maybe even wade through water. We climbed aboard the vans, around four for our large group, and cruised through coconut trees and rice fields. When we … [Read more...]

book reviews a june bride

Wynne Hardy never thought she'd get engaged on a reality TV show, but when she met Andy on The Rejection Connection, the two of them hit it off. Now he's asked her to marry him, much to the public's delight and fascination. They're all set to wed on live TV in a seaside ceremony at the height of the wedding season. But just as Wynne thinks all her dreams are coming true, her ex-boyfriend walks back into her life at the worst possible time. Callum broke her heart years ago, and she's still … [Read more...]

Kids’ Handiwork: Cardboard Castle

October 23, 2014 by ceemee

kids handiwork cardboard castle title

Last two Sundays ago, my eldest told me, out of the blue, that she wanted to make a castle, using cardboard. I admit I'm not a very crafty person. In fact, I'm all thumbs when it comes to cutting, pasting or sewing! But, of course I don't want to say 'no.' So I "enlisted" the help of YouTube and wikiHow to aid us in making a haven of sorts for her My Little Pony figures and others. Here's one of the kids' handiwork: a cardboard castle. I will post the links to the tutorials for simple … [Read more...]
