The First 365 Days Memory Keeper, Cymplified!
Being a mother, the desire to record each and every one of my child's milestones is a natural thing. But when life (read: feeding then burping the baby, sleepless nights, changing the diapers) gets in the way, updating the first yawn or the first sneeze in the baby book gets waylaid. Enters mommy guilt for forgetting such a significant event in my baby's life. Admittedly, if I wasn't gifted with a baby book for my first child, I wouldn't think of buying one until it was too … [Read more...]
Momme Planner, Cymplified!
This is my Momme Planner. I was giddy with excitement upon receiving it. I ordered it through my college block mate but my kind hubby paid for it. Yay! I chose the Exotic Platinum French Pochette because it's a limited edition, plus the shine and texture adds character. Lucky me, I got the last one. :-) I can imagine myself going out with my gal pals with just this and my iPhone. It would make a nice "clutch", right? Too bad my chubby Parker pen couldn't fit into the pen holder, so … [Read more...]
Christmas Tree {2011}, Cymplified!
Our Christmas tree is up! It really does help to work around a theme when putting up the decor. I was inspired by Jenni's post and came up with a way to explain our tree's decorative elements. It was a challenge since I had to use our old decor and some that were given by Rix's friend a couple of years back. Hope it makes sense! Something seems to be missing when I look at the whole tree. I remarked this to Rix and without missing a heartbeat, he answered, "Gifts." Yeah. I'll be … [Read more...]
Thanksgiving {2011}, Cymplified!
Another occasion significant and popular in the United States that we don't celebrate here in the Philippines is Thanksgiving. An image of a turkey comes to my mind when I hear the word. Being thankful should be on a daily basis. It is after all part of a Christian's everyday prayer. If I remember correctly, my prayer must follow this acronym as a format: A - doration C - onfession T - hanksgiving S - upplication The people and things that I need, the things that I sometimes … [Read more...]
Mommy Treats, Cymplified!
I'm glad I got to experience Mommy Treats. Thank you, Ms. Paola for sponsoring a game in the baby shower at Medela House. I got to sample a week's supply of bite-sized cookies and muffins. I have to say they were yummy! I wasn't turned off by the supposed to be bitter aftertaste, which I found the strongest in the chocolate muffins. My favorite was the banana walnut flavor. When I felt a dip in my milk supply two weeks prior to this day, I ordered another week's supply of lactation treats. Of … [Read more...]
Halloween {2011}, Cymplified!
I cannot remember when commercialized Halloween and Trick-or-Treating started here in the Philippines. Thanks to @momblogger for the enlightening post. I have never donned a costume and went house-hopping asking for candies, I had only seen it done in movies. Why do people celebrate it anyway? If it's supposed to be about the dead and scary stuff, why do people say "happy" Halloween? Having been in a Christian school, it was never encouraged. I think it also depended on my parents and the … [Read more...]
