Enjoy Today, Cymplified!
This made me so sentimental!!! The past week had been pretty tiring for me as my hubby, the nanny, and sometimes the helper had to go to the bazaar to sell fruit-shake. I know they were pooped as well. The woman who was supposed to be the tindera (vendor) quit just after the first day. It could sometimes be quite a riot with three children who are of the ages five, two and one. My patience was indeed tested and I had to breathe and bite my tongue. I had to stop and just stare at … [Read more...]
Patience, Cymplified!
It sometimes wears thin. There are days it runs dry. And when the spirit of patience has left me, my self-control snaps and I will say or do something I will regret later on. God, in His infinite patience and love, will remind me using scenarios like this: Elle (to me): I sometimes don't love you. Me (heart pierced): Why? Elle: Because you shout at me and get angry at me. What a wake-up call! I am so blessed my children are resilient and always forgive me in my weakness, that I feel so … [Read more...]
Birth Story Number Three, Cymplified!
Dear Cayla, You are now one year and almost two months old. Mommy is so happy to see that your confidence in walking all by yourself is growing. But, when you let go of mommy's hand, she felt a pang of sadness at how time flies and how both of you are leaving behind your babyhood. Maybe because you are their last child, their last baby, that she was feeling so sentimental. Mommy is torn between holding on to your hand or carrying you and letting you walk on your own, between keeping at nursing … [Read more...]
The Story of Salvation, Cymplified!
Postpartum Depression is a real and serious complication that affects women after they give birth. Although I had baby blues - I felt sad sometimes and had crying spells - I am thankful to the Lord I did not have postpartum depression. But, what I had was depression during pregnancy. I was not so sure it's possible and I have never known anyone who experienced it. I haven't even read about it until now. So, I didn't dare talk to anyone about what I was going through at that time. Through this … [Read more...]
Wedding Anniversary {2012}, Cymplified!
While I was cleaning out our bodega, I unearthed a sort of wedding anniversary card I made in 2007. I was still a work-outta-home-mommy and wife. I printed this in my workplace so it wasn't colored. I don't know if I still have the soft copy. Anyway, I forgot if Rix read it or what his reaction was. So many things have happened since then. We even have three children now! But, I am sure that I love him deeper than ever. Even though there are times when this ride called marriage is bumpy, … [Read more...]
Enough For Him, Cymplified!
Today, my only boy Caleb was having quite a fit after lunch because he's so sleepy yet couldn't fall asleep. He was trying to hit the nanny with his toy. His daddy tried to pacify him but he still didn't stop. Then, I went into the room and gave him water, but he pushed the bottle away. I wiped goo from his resistant nose while he cried. I gave him a clean lampin. Tentatively, I reached out my hands to carry him. He didn't slap them away, that's a good sign. Still holding the toy in one hand and … [Read more...]
