I have always felt like a dark cloud is following me everywhere I go. Everywhere I look I am reminded of it. This dark cloud is made up of a cluttered desk resulting in me writing and blogging on the dining table, of the children's toys unsorted and overflowing, of digital pictures scattered - in the PC, in the USB, in the laptop, of untold stories I haven't yet shared on my blog, and other things on my growing to-do list with unchecked tasks. It's so overwhelming and I feel enslaved by this … [Read more...]
Happiness And Joy, Cymplified!
Happy new year! So sorry for the late greeting. Wishing you all happiness and joy! Happiness to nourish your soul, and joy to nourish your spirit. More joy, though, to get you through the trying times you might encounter. 2 Corinthians 8:2 (NIV) 2 In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. James 1:2-3 (NIV) 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that … [Read more...]

Mary’s Song, Cymplified!
Have you ever felt like you made a string of erroneous decisions? Have you ever felt like you are not talented, intelligent, or capable enough to succeed at whatever you try your hand at? Have you ever felt like God must have made a mistake when He called you to be a mother or a wife? My heart echoes these sentiments. Sometimes I feel like all I do is wrong and I question God about putting such big responsibilities into my hands. What if I fail? When I read Mary's song, The Magnificat, I … [Read more...]
Cupcake Dilemma, Cymplified!
It is always such a treat to receive something sweet. Being a food photographer has its perks, too bad he cannot enjoy it because he doesn't care for cakes and chocolates. And that made his wife giddy! :-P These cupcakes were the inspiration for my fun poem called My Pretty Cupcake. I was pondering on how to eat a cupcake without getting my lips and hands super sticky. What a weird problem to have, right? Do other people have a cupcake dilemma like this? Apparently, this has crossed … [Read more...]
A Nanny-less Week So Far, Cymplified!
The alarm clock on my cellphone plays a piano riff at 5:30 AM. I get up at 6. Or 6:30. I read my devotional and talk with the Lord. Then, I see to it that Ella is having her breakfast and goes into the shower after. When finished, she dresses for school. The two little ones then wake up and have milk sometimes, and then breakfast. Conversations by the wooden high chair which the two young ones like and fight over. Food that isn't finished, that I gobble up or that is spit out. What to … [Read more...]
Try Again, Cymplified!
“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow.” ― Mary Anne Radmacher Last month, I visited my university to hand in my application at an organization that could launch my dream of becoming a children's poetry book author. After a month of picturing myself writing more poems and dreaming up ideas for a fundraiser, I checked the announcement and was a little crushed to discover that I didn't pass. :-( I was writing … [Read more...]
