Where God Is, Cymplified!

March 16, 2015 by ceemee

There will be trials.
There will be tribulation.
There will be sorrow.
There will be separation.
Now, with the ugly
There’ll come the bad.
And you’re wont to ask,
“Where is God?
where God is
Does he look away
When my life’s amiss?”
To you, my friend
I tell you this:
He is in each tear that slides down each cheek,
When wounds are raw and the horizon looks bleak.
He’s in each smile of the children, each twinkle in each eye,
While running on the grass and swinging under the blue sky.
He’s in each gentle wind that dances with your hair,
In each embrace, when loneliness overpowers and tends to despair.
My message to every mister, every missus or miss:
In each and everything, that’s where God is.

Life has its ups. It definitely has the downs. During the happy times, it’s sometimes easy to say that we are so blessed by God. But, when we are met with difficulty, it would feel as if we were abandoned by Him. When things don’t go the way we planned, when we lose something or someone we value, when we are struck with tragedy; Jesus is there, ready to hold our hands, ready to embrace us, ready to just sit beside us and listen.

I want to tell the woman who inspired this post, who is in dire need of money, who is having marriage problems: Please hold on to Jesus. He is with us when we seek Him.

Joshua 1:9 (ESV)

9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Romans 8:38-39 (ESV)

38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hebrews 13:5 (ESV)

5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Psalm 23:4 (ESV)

4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

I agree with you, that at times when our life is easy we feel blessed. But when we are experiencing difficulty, we tend to feel that God is already forsaken us. Learning to trust God that He will not give us anything we can’t handle and accepting things we cannot change will help us bring back peace in our life. This is an inspiring post.
