Trusting Issues, Cymplified!

February 7, 2013 by ceemee

Do you know what’s humbling? Knowing that someone trusts you completely and absolutely. My son loves to stand on the edge of our bed, call my attention and fall into my outstretched arms. What if I changed my mind and decided not to catch him? He doesn’t think of that. A child-like trust is wonderful, and God likes that from us.

Do you know what I realized the other day? When we commute: ride a taxi, a jeepney, the LRT or a tricycle, we are placing our lives in the hands of the drivers and the makers of those vehicles. Not to make the commuters paranoid or anything, this thought just popped into my mind when I rode the tricycle to and fro my daughter’s school. I also recalled this post in cazzapoeia on similar trusting issues. If we could trust in people and things, why do we have trouble trusting in the Lord who I believe is holding up the whole earth (and universe) with His power? I trust that God will keep me safe and He is in control, so I pray before I ride our car or commute. I also need to pray away my trusting issues because when I walk on the streets, I always feel nervous that someone’s going to spring at me and rob me. Yes, it had happened before.

Relationships thrive on trust. But, if it was betrayed before, trusting issues take place.

I know that with God, I could be assured that He will always be there, His love will not change and that He wouldn’t allow trials, which I couldn’t bear.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (Proverbs 3:5 NIV)

Trust is a very hard word to follow. Aside from saying the word “sorry”, this is one of the hardest thing that I can give away easily.

Trust is what keeps a certain relationship healthy. Without it, LOVE won’t survive and it won’t occur at all.
