Five Birthday Reflections, Cymplified!

My age is officially not on the calendar anymore. Friday was my birthday and I was feeling a little low. I think I made the right decision to still have dinner with my side of the family, even if I don’t feel like celebrating. It uplifted me to be surrounded with loved ones.

Time is a good teacher of many lessons in life. Maturing opens my eyes and makes me realize that :

• I really have so much to be thankful for, really. I cannot complain and compare. To each her own blessings.
• Every morning I wake up is another chance to take a shot at my dreams, to walk closer with The Lord and with the people who really matter in my life.
• There is no use stressing out over others’ opinion of me and unsolicited advice, because when I stumble, those judging me won’t really have my back. It is really true that “those who matter won’t mind and those who mind, don’t matter.”
• Developing my own sense of style boosts my confidence and makes me feel happier.
• My hubby’s and my decision for our family will and always be the best decision for our family. He’s my partner in this parenting project which has no known deadline.

As I become more advanced in years, my perspective in life has evolved into something that is trying its best to revolve around God’s purposes and plans. These are my five birthday reflections the past Friday. Some of you may have already knew these things. Any other wisdom you would be glad to share in the comments?
