Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
As children of God, we need not hesitate to ask, seek and knock, especially from Him our heavenly Father.
“Of course, we can ask God for our heart’s desire — for as long as it is in harmony with His will.” -Solo Flight by Grace D. Chong & Francie Castañeda-Lacanilao
I decided to take this Bible verse to heart with my hubby Rix. It is true that guys should be told directly what we girls want or don’t want. Subtle hints and dropping of clues don’t really work. As much as women like me want to be pleasantly surprised and be touched by our partners’ sweet gestures, we have to accept that not all guys are very sensitive. So, I asked him outright (since no one invited me), with a hint of sweetness and with a pretty little ‘please’. Plus, I guess it helped that he liked the dish I cooked the night before. It’s another way to his heart perhaps?
The result was that I got to watch this.
I love Rix for granting my request to watch with me even though he was a bit bored. *smiles*
So, ladies, you could ask to receive something from your guys. It might give him an idea of what to give you next without you asking. *winks*
