The World Now
The world we live in now
Makes me nervous somehow
Traffic jam. Pollution.
Gasoline price fluctuation.
Obstruction. Destruction.
Manners and values reduction.
Fake things, consumption.
Fake people, corruption.
Vanity. Selfishness.
Short-lived happiness.
Chaos and confusion.
Crab mentality infusion.
Natural calamities are daunting.
Destruction man caused is haunting.
Bubbles of innocence,
Pop!
Streams of kindness,
Stop!
As a parent, I worry
Feeling a little sorry
For my children
Cannot bring back then
That’s what God is for
Our stable Anchor
The world will get worse
We can count on this verse
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
The Lord’s promise holds true
To Jesus my children I will guide
So that even when I leave their side
Peace, strength, joy
These they will employ
Courage to face the future
Of faith in God they will be sure

Lovely message. The best we can do for our kids are to give them the best guidance as their parents.

Yes, the world is harsh now… that’s why we have to hope and pray that the values we teach our children will be enough to protect them … on how they will deal with people around them and with life!

I know! It’s an overwhelming task to be a good parent nowadays. Constant prayer and faith in The Lord are needed.

That’s a really heartfelt poem. Nice…
Yes, I too fear for my little girl. I’m afraid the world she’ll grow up in will be harsh… much harsher than in my time.
We can’t turn back time, too bad…
