Whether I recognize blessings or not, I need to remember to be thankful.
I cannot believe it took me a day to realize what a blessing I have. This blessing comes in the form of Elle, my eldest daughter.
Last Sunday, she and I attended her classmate’s birthday party at Kidzville. If you have been to Kidzville, you’ll understand why you should allot more than 30 minutes to the place.
When it was time to go for some of the kids, there were struggles with the nannies, hollers from the parents and red eyes due to crying. Although I had to tell Elle many times that we need to go, I didn’t have to drag her out screaming. We calmly left the place, she even said a hearty “Goodbye, Kidzville!” I’m proud of my darling girl.
She indeed teaches me to recognize blessings with her attitude (even the small things she prays about like thanking the Lord also for our pet dog’s food and the way she says “Yummy!” when she got to eat something she likes). My heart was touched when she sincerely told me she had fun. It was a great bonding moment for both of us.
What little blessings have you recognized today?
